Launch of the peritoneal hemodialysis program in Smolensk region

The launch of the peritoneal hemodialysis program was held on April, 18th, 2011 in Smolensk Regional Clinical Hospital № 1. The event was supported by the company Fresenius Medical Care.

The program of peritoneal hemodialysis, which provides medical care to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) was launched in Smolensk region. The celebration of the launch was visited by: Chief Nephrologist of Smolensk region – N.V. Selina, Deputy Chief Doctor of Clinical Hospital #1 – A.N.Tolkachev and Professor, Ph.D., Head of nephrology and efferent therapy MAPS - K.Y. Gurevich. The press conference devoted to this event was attended by representatives of all key Mass Media of the region. Journalists had an opportunity to make video and photo shooting of first operations of installation of peritoneal catheters to patients with CKD.
