On October 30, within the Plenary Session of the Russian Urologists Society company Astellas held its satellite symposium ‘Benign prostatic hyperplasia: Looking for the future’.
The program of the symposium included the discussion of the problem that affects many modern men. What ways and methods of treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia are preferable: therapeutic or surgical? What are current trends and the future of conservative treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia?
Prof. Oleg Loran, M.D., Corresponding Fellow of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Urology and Surgical Andrology Department Chairman at the Russian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education and Professor of Urology Christopher Chapple, Director, European School of Urology, Sheffield Hallam University, the UK, chaired the satellite symposium.
