Press conference "Results of the ADVANCE Research Presentation"

Conference hall at the Russian Information Agency “Novosti” hosted October 1 to a press conference aimed at the announcement of the results of the largest in history ADVANCE diabetes research initiated by Servier.

Leading medical specialists appeared at the press conference: Ivan Dedov, M.D., Acad. of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, President of the Russian Association of Endocrinologists, Chief Freelance Endocrinologist of the Ministry of Public Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, Diabetes Expert at the WHO, Irina Chukaeva, M.D., President of the Russian Society of Arterial Hypertension in Moscow, Marina Shestakova, M.D., Director of the Institute of Diabetes at the Federal State Institution “Endocrinology Research Centre RMT”.

Results of the largest, international ADVANCE (Action in Diabetes and Vascular Disease) research, in which 11,140 patients with 2nd type diabetes took part, became the subject of the discussion. The patients have undergone medical treatment and have been followed up by doctors for 5 years. The results of the ADVANCE research significantly expanded the view of diabetes treatment.
