Solemn opening ceremony of the first IKEA store in Ekaterinburg

On the request of Swedish furniture network IKEA, PR-Premier has organized and conducted the solemn opening ceremony of the first IKEA store in Ekaterinburg. The opening was held on October 7 with the participation of Mr. Eduard Rossel, Governor of Sverdlovsk region, and Johan Molander, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Russian Federation.

In line with its slogan ‘Be unlike others’, the opening ceremony had also many nonstandard elements. The symbolic ‘ribbon’ – a 4-meter long log – was cut by Governor Eduard Rossel, Ambassador of Sweden Johan Molander and by other distinguished guests. And the first visitor, who entered the new store, became cat Ulrich, the winner of the contest “The most charming cat of IKEA” in Ekaterinburg.

PR-Premier carried out several promotion actions, aimed to attract citizens’ attention to the opening of the IKEA store in the city. The agency also set up the hot line. The experts provided the complete sphere of works regarding the organization of all the events.
