The press conference “Mental Health and Life”

The press conference “Mental Health and Life” has been held at Russian Information Agency ‘Novosti’, organized by PR-Premier on the request of AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical company. The event was timed to World Mental Health Day, October 10.

Journalists of specialized and socio-political mass media have familiarized themselves at the press conference with one of the heaviest problem of the modern psychiatry – reasons and risk factors of suicide. Acad. Tatyana Dmitriyeva, director of the Serbsky Social and Forensic Psychiatry Research Center, and other leading psychiatrists of Russia have given reports to the journalists. They emphasized that the mental health of the nation is one of the most important issue of the modern medicine and told the audience about the modern methods of mental illnesses treatment. Maxim Korostyshevskiy and Oxana Korostyshevskaya, director and lead actress of the famous Russian film ‘Fool’ about problems of ethic relation of the society to the problems of patients with heavy psychic illnesses, were also speakers of the event.
