On December 10, 2008, PR-Premier organized and held the first stage of the annual Unilever International Schools Art Project (UISAP) in the art studio ‘Vorobyevy gory’ of the Moscow City Palace of Kids Creativity.
Since 2001 his project has been jointly realized by Unilever and the British gallery Tate Modern. The aim of this project is extensive support and development of creative capacities of the younger generation.
Art works created by young artists from various corners of the world were submitted to the professional jury. Russia was represented by art works created by kids from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Novosibirsk and Omsk. As part of the contest the company held an open lesson, attended by media representatives besides 84 young artists at the age of from 8 to 16.
As a result of selective stages, the jury will select the best art work in each city – project participant. The authors accompanied by their tutors will be invited to St. Petersburg, where there will be workshop with project monitor Mikhail Shemyakin and the award ceremony. The winner will be selected by the international jury in January 2009. The author of the best art work will then visit London to take part in a prestigious art exhibition held in Tate Modern.
