Launch Omacor

Solvay Pharma plans to launch Omacor, also known as “a fifth element in cardiology”, in January. To support the launch the company held a round table, in which leading cardiologists and journalists took part.

Doctors told journalists about a breakthrough in prevention of heart attacks due to polyunsaturated fat acids. Conventional treatment accompanied by intake of polyunsaturated fat acids allows for reducing mortality by 20% and a risk of sudden cardiac death by 45%.

The launch of Omacor that contains fat acids will be a significant step in prevention of cardiovascular diseases and repeated heart attacks.
