The press conference devoted to the expedition “Panasonic – Jannu Northern wall II”

The press conference devoted to the expedition “Panasonic – Jannu Northern wall II” has taken place in Moscow.

The general sponsorship of the project is undertaken by Panasonic company in frames of Panasonic ideas for life global concept.

Members of the Russian team of alpinists headed by Alexander Odintsov – permanent leader of the project “Russian way – walls of world”, have declared that they are strongly motivated to ascend the Janny peak (7710) – the mountain face in Eastern Himalayas that have never been conquered by anybody.

It is preliminary planned to finish the expedition by the end of April 2004. The expedition promises to become a sensation in the history of world alpinism, if a success.
