The agency has organized and carried out a press conference for Pfizer "There is no alternative than to restore patients’ confidence”.

As a result of a negative media campaign 86% patients all over the world refused taking Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) in early 2005, Irina Chukayeva, professor of medicine, told the press conference at the news agency RIA. However, this forced the patients to return to the medicines of old generation, which only exacerbated condition of cardiovascular patients, Yury Mareyev, professor from the Myasnikov Cardiology Research Institute said.

The speakers, leading specialists in cardiology and rheumatology, reminded reporters that they are responsible to the general public, as most people get medical information and advice from press, TV and radio. Incorrect or misrepresented information may have a negative impact on health of millions of people.
