Symposium “New methods of schizophrenia treatment”

A symposium “New methods of schizophrenia treatment” was held at the Russian Presidential State Service Academy on November 16 during the XIV Russian psychiatrist congress.

Hans Yurgen Mueller, professor of psychiatry and director of the psychiatry department at the Ludwig Maximillian University based in Munich told his peers and reporters about results of the tests of a new atypical antipsychotic medicine Zeldox developed by Pfizer pharmaceutical company. This medicine does not have side affects as other medicines of the kind have. Member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Smulevich, who headed a group that tested the medicine in Russia, said that Zeldox perfectly corresponds to the modern methods of schizophrenia treatment.

The agency helped Pfizer to organize the symposium.
